The effective balancing of generation and load is important to efficiently operate an electricity network whilst reducing the need for traditional reinforcement. Active network management (ANM) is a key enabler in the move from passive networks to increasingly interactive electricity networks. This presentation looks at ANM from the viewpoint of Western Power Distribution.
